Led by international award winning filmmaker, Rebecca Hardy, edge 21’s recent work includes multi-award winning supernatural comedy drama, DisPossess (Web Series, currently on series 2), short films; Couple Confine and Managed, promotional programme Why Artsmark? for Arts Connect and Comedy Den promo for Porters, Cardiff.
Rebecca specialises in creating independent productions and original content. Since 1999 her films and programmes have been broadcast and exhibited across Europe and in 2016 her work moved into the US market. A broadcast editor, camera operator, director and writer she enjoys working across disciplines, either on full commissions or collaborating with others to produce new creative content.
In 2014 she began working in feature film and exec produced ‘Mirrors to Windows’. Rebecca is currently developing her first feature film as a Director/Producer.
Keen to ensure she maintains a deep and broad knowledge of the industry, Rebecca works in a number of other capacities. In January 2014 she joined BAFTA as the Awards Manager at BAFTA Cymru (BAFTA Wales) managing the British Academy Cymru Awards.
She works as the Film and Digital Programme Developer at Arts Connect West Midlands – using her knowledge in the sector, she builds relationships with Film and Digital organisations to increase access to high quality opportunities for Children and Young People. From 2004-2010 she was a Creative Agent on the Creative Partnerships programme in England and in 2015 became a Creative Agent once again on the Lead Creative School Scheme led by the Arts Council of Wales.
